Cerca Family Connect

Are you raising globally aware kids?

Most families travel. Very few actually connect with the places they visit.

Most trips revolve around sights, activities, and checklists. But the moments that shape how children see the world come from real human connection.

Cerca Family Connect matches traveling families with local families for simple, relaxed experiences: a shared meal, an activity, a few meaningful hours together.

Takes 30 seconds. No commitment.
Families sharing time together in a local square
A simple few hours. A completely different perspective.

How it works

01

Apply

Fill out a short questionnaire about your family.

02

Get verified and matched

We schedule time to meet you and learn more about your family, so we can match you with the best possible experience.

03

Share time together

A shared meal followed by a relaxed activity. A few meaningful hours together, at home, a café, or a park.

What families are saying

“It’s a beautiful idea and it’s needed more than ever.” Michael, Barcelona
“My son is 17 and I just couldn’t find anything like this for him. There’s a lot for adults, but not much where kids can actually meet each other.” Danielle, USA
“It’s a way to share your city proudly. Not just the surface, but how we actually live here. That’s what makes it special.” Barcelona host family

FAQ

As a visiting family, do I pay the local family?

No money is exchanged between the families. Traveling families pay a fee to Cerca to support the set up and management of the experience.

What is the simple activity?

A shared activity is family-friendly time that encourages kids to interact and build friendships. Perhaps a walk through the neighborhood, board games at home, or time together on a playground or at the beach.

How do I know this is safe?

Every family on Cerca is verified with government ID, matched with a real person, and personally interviewed by our team before any introductions are made.

Will I get to talk to the other family before meeting?

Yes. We’ll share a description of the family we think you’ll vibe with, and if approved, the time, date, and location. You’ll also be able to connect directly beforehand to confirm simple details.

Who pays for the meal?

If you meet at a restaurant or bring food for a picnic, each family pays for their own meal. If a local family welcomes you into their home, we encourage the visiting family to contribute in the same spirit you would with friends.
