About this Episode

Like the people who populate this city - the crimes that happen here seem fit for the big screen. In a place full of cameras, paparazzi, and superstars - it makes sense. If you take a survey of the most infamous and well-known crimes and trials of the century - the ones seared into your memory like that nondescript condo entrance - a considerable handful of them are a product of the City of Angels. In Part One, we’ll dive back into Los Angeles before television, to a murder that changed the city - the murder of the Black Dahlia. Then we’ll jump forward to the far-out 60s to when a very different kind of story took what LA was and turned it upside down - the murders of Charles Manson and the Manson Family.
