Vatican City

St Peter's Square, Vatican, Rome

Overview

Vatican City may be the smallest country in the world, but it holds some of humanity’s biggest artistic and spiritual moments. Step inside and you’re instantly surrounded by masterpieces that could silence even the most chaotic mind. Visiting here is interesting – there aren’t a lot of opportunities to get inside the Vatican walls.  But you can wander St. Peter’s Square, snap a picture of the Swiss Guards, spend hours and hours in the Vatican Museums, and take a tour of the gardens.  Because even if you’re not here for the religion, the art, the architecture, and the history hit on a level that feels almost divine. And hey, you’re still in Rome.
